...mostly happened when I was out cycling.

1. Someone jogging with a pig! A black pig nonetheless. Noticed it could run pretty fast too. Too bad it didn't go "oink oink".
2. A guy cycling with a snowboarding goggles. FTW?
3. Yomiuriland! Yea, I cycled from my house at Yukigaya right up till I got near to Yomiuri-land. Word of advice: Get a good bike, my cheapo bike left my arse feeling pretty...ouch

Edit: Bought new bike, am lovin it!

Podfather

Y'know kids, long long ago, during the age Apple still doesn't provide that nice "Podcast" section in it's iTunes software, people have to download podcast manually and put 'em into their iPod/mp3 players. Or they could just (like me) use iPodder or Juice or whatever new names they had changed to since then. You'll have to get each podcast's URL thingy and manually put it in to the software and then wait for it to download the podcast and then, wait again for it to put it into iTunes. Then you can finally listen to the darned podcast. Of course, you have to sync your iPod with your PC if you want to listen it on your iPod first.

Sheesh, kids nowdays have it easy.

By the way, that guy above?

He's once an MTV VJ, introducing the latest and coolest songs to those teens who have now grown up into our parents (Try imagining MTV in 1987). He's also the Podfather, the pioneer to all that is podcast that we know today. Of course, there are a few others back then too but I happen to listen just to him that time. Also apparently, the intro to his podcast, the Daily Source Code hasn't changed much throughout the time. I was pleasantly surprised to find that out when I resubscribed to his podcast recently.

Good memories, those days. I loved listening to his podcast in the train during my daily commute to KLCC.

With 16 million dollars worth of airplane strapped to my ass, and the next generation radio content in my ears. I like to think I'm flying into the future.

格好イイじゃねか？Plain coolness methinks, I still remember that time when he got that quote. It came from one of his listeners email if my memory serves me well.

And his recent podcast, he talks about Tweetdeck! Muahahah, another Tweetdeck user! W00t!

A justified winter

We Tokyoites always go gaga whenever snow falls in the metropolitan area. There's a damn good reason for that. We suffer the cold winter but usually never have the pleasure to actually see snowfall.



Till now, I had only seen two occasions of worth-to-brag about snowfall over here on Tokyo. I always think of it as some form of reward for suffering the biting cold winds throughout this winter. Seeing all the white fluffy stuff laying around makes me forget the cold and pick it up to throw to someone. And I most certainly did that (to my housemate).

Hey, how often could you get plastered by snowball in Tokyo?

Schrodinger's Cat

The last part really made me laugh.

For those not familiar, "Schrodinger's cat" is actually a sort of experiment where a cat is shut in a box which you cannot possibly see/hear/observe anything going inside and the only possible outcomes when you open up the box are:

1. The cat lives (and all is well)
2. The cat dies (and PETA will go mad)

Fortunately this not a real experiment per se. More of just the kind of of stuffs old and overly smart scientist* like to think up in their own imagination.

Back to the experiment, both outcomes are possible. A 50-50 chance of having the cat in the box being dead or still be alive and annoyed. The cat at that particular moment is described as dead and alive. Something that as ridiculous as it may seem, is also completely true.

OK, here's the important part. When this realization came to me, I felt so enlightened and felt that I immediately have to share this with the world before the Vogons decides to demolish Earth. Something that no scientist has ever yet noted about this world famous "thought" experiment. It has to be, without any doubt nor scientific debate (not even quantum science could refute), that the animal has got to be a cat.

Why, you ask?

No other creature would ever go into a box this willingly. QED.

Sleepless

Sleepless night. Especially since I already slept earlier on. 1:28AM at the moment. Not really that late yet (for a student).

As you can see, I took the chance to take photos of my new desktop plant. That is, a *real* plant on a *real* desktop.



Gah....Mr. Sandman, come back here hit me on my head with your sandbag again. Please?

Exams in summer? I wilt.

Exams right now. Trying to study in this weather, it is nearly impossible not to think of going off somewhere cool like the sea or somewhere closer like this Yazawa River.

Note to self: After exams, get a nice book, iPod, ice-cream and lepak over here. Oooh... better bring mosquito repellant too.

Just to keep this going on.

Sometimes when I'm bored, I'll read a lot of thing. Sometimes beneficial, educational to the downright dumb. Whatever it is, it's all done in the spirit of procrastinating. Oh, that work can wait. Shush!

When you got on the bus talking excessively loud I gave you the benefit of the doubt... I noticed you (the one with platinum blonde hair) had some anime keychains and laminated drawings on your backpack (I don't quite care for Deidara [from Naruto] but I did not mind the Light and L and Riuk [DeathNote]).

When I actually started listening to what you and your friend was talking about I was aghast and apalled! How could someone in their right mind, in this day and age, use the word "like" more than 150 times from Westboro to Bayview (I started counting)... I was sickened.

And when the girl, who got on at Tunnys Pasture, came on and proceeded to sit in the seat you weren't going to sit in and had to move your backpack out of the way to get to the seat, I thought that you and your friend did not need to stop your horrifying conversation and glare her.

And to make matters even more unbearable the topic of your conversation was religion! I believe the term you didn't know was Agnostic, even though you just tell people you're Atheist. And no English is not the most spoken language in the world... Your friend, in some stroke of non-retarded genius, was right about there being more people speaking Mandarin/Cantonese. To which you replied, "Well, like, that's like, because all those like, people, like started learning Mandarin, like, like a couple like, years ago." (Give or take several "likes")

I, dumbfounded, could only shake my head and shudder... and leave the bus very quickly, which the girl you glared at did also.

So, like, when you, like get on, like, a bus and like, your like, having a conversation like that, like with your, like friend. Please consider, like everyone else who, like, have to like, put up with your like, incessant chatter.Like like, you like kinda sound like slightly like brain damaged!

Yes, I do get some stuff from craiglist at times.

Home is closer than you'd think it is.

Buying a second hand Nat Geo magazine from a book store here in Japan later reveals that it was originally bought in Malaysia. Huh. I wonder how it came to Japan.
